A Florida law enforcement officer says six-months of hard work have paid off in a Washington County courtroom.
Chipley Police Chief Kevin Crews announced the convictions of five crack cocaine dealers.
The jail sentences range from three-months to six-years.
Chief Crews says he used undercover investigators to make drug buys from the defendants and it payed off with their guilty pleas.
"It felt good to see these folks arrested be convicted, and sent for lengthy jail sentences for selling this poison. But we must remember for everyone we put away, we get two or three looking to take their place, and then over again," said Chief Crews.
Chief Crews reminds residents if they have information on drug activity in their neighborhoods to contact his office at 850-638-6310.
