A Geneva County man faces a murder charge in connection with an alcohol related accident that killed another man.
Alabama State Troopers said 28-year-old Monty Earl Powell of Samson was drunk when the pickup truck he was driving was involved in a one-vehicle accident last Thursday night.
A passenger, 32-year-old Christopher Howell of Samson, was killed.
The wreck happened on happened on Warren Road just a couple of miles North of the Florida State Line.
Powell is free on a $50,000 bond.
