Here's something sure to get Alabama motorists pumped up. Nationally, the average price of gas has made a big plunge, dropping 18 cents in the past two weeks.
In Alabama, today's fuel gauge report from Triple-A finds the price for self-serve regular has dropped about 45 cents since last month. Regular averages two-20; midgrade fuel is two-35 and premium hovers around two dollars, 42 cents a gallon.

The Birmingham-based auto club's survey of 85-thousand self-serve stations found the cheapest price for regular is being pumped in Montgomery at two dollars, 13 cents a gallon.
Birmingham and Tuscaloosa each share the most the most expensive
