Perdue Fire Investigation

Assistant Fire Marshall Glenn Temples said unattended welding equipment caused the blaze to start at the Perdue Poultry Plant.

The walls, roof and electrical systems were heavily damaged.

Plant officials said the first processing day and night shift should report for work Wednesday.

If you work at the plant, but have not been notified about work assignments, you can call a special hotline for information: Perdue Plant Information at 702-6219.
