ENTERPRISE, Ala. (AP) - A former Air Force enlisted man who was expelled from the service for a sex crime has been indicted for failing to register as a sex offender in Alabama.
The two count indictment was returned by a Coffee County grand jury on May 27.
Attorney General Troy King Thursday said 25-year-old Brian Lee Carroll also was charged with failing to notify authorities that he changed his residence.
Carroll was arrested last December in Enterprise. Military authorities in Misawa, Japan, said he pleaded no contest at a courts-martial to a charge of indecent sexual assault. Carroll was discharged from the Air Force because he was an adult criminal sex offender.
No trial date was announced.
