TROY, Ala. (AP) - A deadly wreck on U.S. Highway 231 left one person dead and six people hospitalized - an eighth occupant was not hurt.
Alabama state troopers said it happened Wednesday at about 10 a.m. near mile marker 92, between Troy and Montgomery.
Troopers said the eight were riding in a minivan when a tire blew causing the vehicle to flip as many as ten times. Several occupants were ejected were airlifted to local hospitals.
The names of the injured and deceased were not immediately available. Authorities said all the victims were Hispanic and were unable to speak English.
Trooper said the accident remains under investigation.
