Delta Low Fare

Time Magazine is reporting that Delta Airlines' new low-fare startup airline will be named "Song."

The low-fare carrier is an attempt by Delta to reproduce the success of rival Jetblue Airways, a three-year-old New York based carrier.

Time reports Song will begin flying in April from New York to Florida, a route that Jetblue has had success in competing against Delta.

A Delta spokesperson wouldn't confirm the name of the startup airline-within-an-airline.

There are reports that Delta also attempted to copy Jetblue's success by working with the designer of Jetblue's stylish uniforms for Song, but the designer declined.

Song would offer only coach class with one-way fares below $299.
