A recently elected public official is in trouble with the law.
Coffee County commissioner-elect Kim Ellis has been charged with driving under the influence.
Ellis was arrested Saturday night at a check-point set up by Alabama state troopers, outside the BamaJam Music and Arts Festival near Enterprise.
16-other people were also arrested for DUI at the same location.
Ellis is free on a $1,000 bond.
