Coffee County Official Charged with DUI

A recently elected public official is in trouble with the law.

Coffee County commissioner-elect Kim Ellis has been charged with driving under the influence.

Ellis was arrested Saturday night at a check-point set up by Alabama state troopers, outside the BamaJam Music and Arts Festival near Enterprise.

16-other people were also arrested for DUI at the same location.

Ellis is free on a $1,000 bond.
