Four Charged in Fatal Beating

IRVINGTON, Ala. (AP) - The weekend beating death of a 60-year-old man resulted in the arrests of four males.

Mobile County Sheriff's spokesman Jerry Taylor said deputies found Charles Tillman Jr., lying in the yard of a residence suffering from extensive injuries to his head and body.

Tillman died at the scene of Saturday night's attack on Two Mile Road.

Taylor said an investigation determined that the four had beaten Tillman with a large stick.

Arrested were Craig Skipper, 46; John Connor, 20; Jayce Goleman, 18; and Adam Skipper, 17.

Each were charged with Tillman's murder and were placed in Mobile County Metro Jail.

No motive was given.
