One of the city of Dothan’s capital improvement projects is set to get underway soon.
The air-conditioning unit that cools the Dothan Civic Center needs to be replaced. The building was constructed in the early 70's along with the A/C unit.
Some city employees in certain parts of the building say it's tough to stay cool.
Dothan City Manager Mike West says, “We get a lot of complaints. You go to the third floor, a lot of people up there are hot sometimes you walk into the front lobby and wonder where the meats hanging because it's so chilly."
The city should be done with plans for the new air conditioning units for the Civic Center and the utilities building within 90 days.
