A Jackson County woman charged with murder was found guilty Thursday in Marianna.
34-year-old Sue Ann Cole admitted shooting her 38-year-old boyfriend Danny Durden. She claimed she acted in self defense.
He was killed with a shotgun the day after Christmas last year.
Durden’s body lay in a shed behind the couple's Grand Ridge home for several days until Cole told a minister and he contacted authorities.
The defense contended that Durden had a history of domestic violence, but jurors convicted Cole after two hours of deliberations.
Sentencing is set for June 24th.
Cole faces a minimum of 25 years in prison and a maximum of life behind bars.
