Federal investigators are trying to find out what caused a Florala dump truck to dive off a 50 foot cliff killing a Geneva County man Friday.
Emergency responders arrived at a rural lime pit off State Highway 54 around noon.
The media was kept off the private site, but News 4 learned a dump truck dropped more than 50-feet down an embankment into the pit itself.
Covington County sheriff's officials are conducting the initial investigation and haven't released any details of the mishap at this time.
Federal investigators want to know if anyone is responsible.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
