You can find out by signing up for the next round of the Dothan Police Department's Citizen Observer Program.
The seven-week program gives participants a first-hand look at the role of law enforcement in the community.
It also shows the training that officers receive and how they do their jobs.
The program runs for two hours every Tuesday night, starting at 7 p.m. and participants can spend at least four hours with an officer on patrol.
Participants in the citizen observer program must be at least 21-years of age.
