Cold Weather Shelter

The Dothan Rescue Mission is providing shelter for the homeless and for those whose homes do not have sufficient heat. The mission has room for about 30 more people.

Noon and evening meals are served, followed by a spiritual service at 6:30 PM. There's also around the clock security provided.

If you need shelter or more information, please call 794-4637.

The Perry Recreation Center in Ozark is also open to help people make it through the cold weather.

The center opened last night at 6 o'clock and the Red Cross is there to offer assistance.

Plans are for the shelter to be available through noon on Saturday, or until the weather improves.

For more information, you can call the Perry Recreation Center at 774-2524.

And in Daleville, residents with heating problems or power outages can call the Daleville Police Department for assistance.
