A Coffee County woman whose husband says she bit his genitals to the point of severe bleeding has had her first day in court.
Thirty-seven year old Nelya Stinson went to court Tuesday.
She was arrested last month on an assault charge after her husband claimed she bit him.
According to a report by Coffee County Investigator Lieutenant Chris Davis, Stinson was arrested for causing serious physical injury to her quadriplegic husband in February.
Stinson now lives in Enterprise and faces a charge of second-degree assault.
She was released from jail on Sept. 27 on a $5,000 bond.
Judge Paul Sherling ordered Stinson to have no contact with her husband.
Her preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 22.
