Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Floyd was indicted by a Houston County grand jury last December.
He’s accused of killing Archie Crawford during a robbery at Waller’s Grocery Store in February of 1992.
Defense attorneys claim there's been too much pre-trial publicity to get a fair trial in Dothan.
But on Tuesday, Judge Larry Anderson refused to move the trial.
Floyd is scheduled to stand trial Nov. 14. He’s already serving a life sentence for a series of property crimes.
