Small Business Alliance

An agreement was signed Tuesday forming an alliance between the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Troy State University, the Local Chapter of the Society of Safety Engineers and the Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management Agency.

The alliance is intended to promote safer working conditions for small businesses. That can happen by providing information and guidance to protect workers and reduce safety hazards.

OSHA officials say a safer work place increases the value of business.

For more information about the Small Business Safety Alliance, contact the Chamber of Commerce or the Emergency Management Agency.
