The Enterprise City Council has amended its noise ordinance to silence violators.
Elected officials say they've been bombarded with complaints from homeowners.
Enterprise Police Chief T.D. Jones says many drivers will simply cough up the fine of $60.
But, under the new fee schedule, a second offense has gone up by $30 with a third offense at more than $300.
The new noise ordinance must go through a second reading before the city council.
That’s expected to take place on Tuesday Oct. 18.
