A suspect in a 13-year-old capital murder case is expected back in court Thursday.
Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Floyd was indicted by a Houston County grand jury last December.
He’s accused of killing Archie Crawford during a robbery at Waller’s Grocery between Ashford and Cottonwood in February of 1992.
Defense attorneys want his trial moved away from Dothan.
They claim there's been too much pretrial publicity.
They want the case heard else-where.
They’ve also asked Judge Larry Anderson to keep Floyd’s taped statement to investigators out of evidence.
The judge has taken both motions under advisement and will issue a ruling at a later date.
A hearing is set for Thursday afternoon.
Floyd is already serving life behind bars for a series of property crimes.
