Houston County's representative Elizabeth Crockett was announced as Alabama's 46th Junior Miss.
Elizabeth is the first Houston County representative to win the scholarship program. She was awarded more than $11,000 in total scholarship money.
She competed with 60 other girls from across the state in academics, public speaking and talent. Elizabeth performed a classical piano piece.
Elizabeth is the daughter of Frank and Olivia Crocket of Dothan and attends Houston Academy. She'll ride in the Inaugural Parade before returning to Dothan Tuesday.
