Northwest Florida authorities found more than drugs after receiving a tip about a suspected meth lab. Two Holmes County men are in jail Thursday night on several charges:
Dustin Brown and Jeremy Butler are both 24-years-old Bonifay residents.
They are charged with marijuana cultivation and possession of methamphetamine. The state attorney's office has also filed an aggravated child abuse charge since a child reportedly stayed at the suspect's home.
Additionally, the two are charged with fighting animals. Holmes County sheriff's investigators found a starving pit bulldog in the yard.
Brown and Butler were allegedly involved in dog fighting. Investigators say there was a pit area in the backyard which is used to train dogs to fight. Brown and Butler remain in the Holmes County workcamp under $40,000 bonds each.
