The Centers for Disease Control and other leading health authorities issued a joint warning.
They urged at-risk Americans to get immunized against influenza and pneumococcal disease.
Last year, a manufacturing problem led to a vaccine shortage, leaving the most vulnerable Americans scrambling to get their immunizations.
High-risk groups include young children, senior citizens, healthcare workers, pregnant women and people with certain health conditions.
