HUNTSVILLE - A search panel is down to three finalists and will pick one of them for the top job at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville.
A&M trustees meet Thursday and Friday for final interviews and choose the university's new president. The finalists are:
--Doctor Julian Manly Earls, director of NASA's Glenn Research
Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
--Doctor Robert Jennings, executive vice president and chief
operating officer of Future Focus 2020, an academic center at the
Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
--And Doctor Lawrence Davenport, executive vice president and
chief operating officer of Florida Atlantic University in Boca
A & M trustee Doctor Shefton Riggins says 60 candidates were screened in the selection process. The search began after former A & M President John Gibson resigned under pressure in February.
