Pike County Fatal Accident

Family and friends are mourning the loss of two Troy teenagers who were killed in a one vehicle accident in Pike County over the weekend.

Guidance counselors at Charles Henderson High School Monday helped students deal with their grief.

Troopers say the accident happened on Highway 93 about a half mile South of the Banks Community.

Reportedly, the driver, 16-year-old Kelley Tellis of Troy, passed another car then lost control and ran off the road.

14-year-old Jasmine Berry was the passenger who was also killed in the accident.

There were three other teenagers involved in the accident, all of them from the same school. Two of the teens are still in the hospital, the other returned to school Monday.
