Lampkin Verdict

Jurors deliberated just 30 minutes before finding Vincent Lampkin guilty in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend.

Gwendolyn Brock was killed outside a Dothan nightclub in 1990.

Witnesses identified Lampkin as the killer, but that same night Lampkin fled the state. Police finally caught up with him two years ago in New Orleans.

Investigators said Lampkin was married and working as a barber under an assumed name. He had been arrested for threatening his wife with a shotgun.

District Attorney Doug Valeska said he'll try to get a 99-year sentence for Lampkin.

Sentencing is set for Feb. 19.
