Authorities are searching for an escaped Alabama prisoner, after a second escapee was killed by Georgia lawmen after fleeing to the Atlanta area.
Prison officials say work-release prisoner Ricky Neal Taylor was shot to death by Cobb County Georgia, authorities after he was held up in a motel room and told them he was armed and dangerous.
Taylor had been working for a Montgomery construction company.
Tuesday, he drove away from a work site in a construction company vehicle.
Authorities are searching for Carl Brad Ward who fled about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon from a warehouse outside of the Elmore correctional facility in an employee's gold 2001 Mitsubishi 3000 GT.
Ward was working under supervision in a warehouse between Elmore and Draper prisons.
