An elderly blind man is dead after being robbed and brutally murdered in his own Dale County home. Meanwhile, his killer is still on the loose.
Around 9:30 Saturday morning, Dale County officials responded to the murder of 73-year-old Billy Ray Jackson who lived in Midland City's Canterbury Estates.
The African American man was found in his living room with multiple stab wounds to the chest and was brutally beaten to death.
Jackson was separated from his wife and lived alone.
He leaves behind two daughters, who live out of town.
Officials have some leads and have already interviewed a few suspects, but so far, no arrests have been made.
Law enforcement officers are asking the public to be cautious and on the look out.
