A massive manhunt took place for several hours yesterday (Tuesday) on both sides of the Florida/Alabama state line.
A convenience store owner in Westville says she got a phone call from a friend just after 8 o’clock Tuesday morning.
The 16-year-old caller reported two men carrying guns were breaking into her mobile home...then, the phone went dead.
Area law enforcement agencies conducted a land and air search for the 16-year-old.
Several hours later, one of the suspects called Holmes County authorities.
They were arrested shortly after and the girl was found unharmed.
Major Harry Hamilton with the Holmes County Sheriff's Department says “ the suspect's car, we were able to track to Daleville, Alabama. We then made contact with the 16-year-old girl. We're trying to get down to the bottom of this, we're interviewing all three subjects.”
The names of the two suspects have not been released, but authorities say the victim knew them both.
