A quick response by nearby residents is credited with helping save two men who fell overboard on the Pea River.
Early Monday night, Jack Hurlburt and his son-in-law, Chris Dubisar were reportedly on an airboat near the Elba boat landing.
Due to an apparent mechanical malfunction, the men were thrown into the river.
Coffee County officials responded along with a man on a jet-ski.
Both Hurlburt and Dubisar were found along the bank and were helped to safety.
