Everett Appointment

According to his office, Everett will be the first Alabamian in 15 years to hold a leadership job on the committee that's responsible for shaping military policy.

The Republican from Enterprise will lead a newly created panel called the sub-committee on strategic forces.

The panel will have jurisdiction over several programs critical to Alabama, including an air defense program being developed at Lockheed Martin in Pike County.
