Phillips Bond Hearing

Bond has been denied for a 27-year-old Selma man charged with rape, burglary and related charges in Mobile and the Florida Panhandle.

On Monday, a Mobile judge denied Eric Leon Phillips' request for bail.

Mobile County's District Attorney said Phillips is a danger to the public and is considered a flight risk.

Phillips is a suspect in the armed robbery of an Exxon Service Station near Interstate 10 in Ponce de Leon.

Florida authorities want to extradite Phillips, who surrendered to Mobile police early last Saturday.
