Graceville Lumber Mill

A $20 million lumber mill is expected to open in Graceville, Florida, providing nearly 75 jobs. The additional employment is expected to help the economically depressed community.

With pride, Rex Lumber Company General Manager Arthur Wilson looks at a multi-million dollar undertaking. Last March, the old U.S. Forest Industries Sawmill was torn down.

In it's place, a state of the art facility has been going up. Within the next month, the Rex Lumber Mill should become a premier name in the home building industry.

Wilson said Rex Lumber will be buying trees primarily in a 100-to-150 mile radius. That should provide a new market for many area tree farms.

The One Stop Career Center in Marianna is assisting Rex Lumber in hiring workers. If you are interested in possible employment, the center can be reached at 850-718-0326.
