A Green Bay shelter that's been helping people displaced by Hurricane Katrina has found one family that apparently misrepresented their situation.
Over the Labor Day weekend, Sahffer and Yolanda Gilmore met the media with their two children at their side.
The Gilmores said they had evacuated their home in Leland, Mississippi because of Hurricane Katrina and were staying at Freedom House in Green Bay.
Shelter management says they were told Leland, Mississippi is about two hours from New Orleans.
After investigating, they found Leland is six hours inland and there was no evacuation order there.
The family has been kicked out of the shelter, which is contacting all the people who made donations to the Gilmores so those donations can be returned or re-directed.
