A semi-truck is loaded with equipment and will roll out this morning to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Oklahoma Homeland Security, the Red Cross and the Salvation Army have readied the unit to prepare up to 30,000 meals a day.
A team of 20 from North Texas and the surrounding areas will join the semi and another emergency management entities and caravan to East Texas and wait for Katrina to strike.
They’re not exactly sure where they'll be dispatched to in Southern Louisiana or Mississippi, but they stand ready to meet the need.
