Power companies across the Wiregrass are ready to assist other hard hit areas if necessary.
So far, no crews from either Alabama Power or Dothan Utilities have been deployed to surrounding areas.
Representatives from both companies say they are prepared for Hurricane Katrina and will have to wait until it passes before they will be released to other areas needing assistance.
Power company officials want to remind people that although Southeast Alabama will most likely not receive much damage, they are asking citizens to remain patient while outages are restored.
