North Korea Denounced

President Bush has harsh words for the leader of North Korea -- saying Kim Jong-il is somebody who starves his own people.

But he's saying again that he expects a diplomatic solution to the showdown over the North's nuclear program.

During a tour of his Texas ranch, the president told reporters Americans have shown "great heart" by sending food to impoverished North Koreans. But he said he's got "no heart for somebody who starves his folks."

Last month, North Korea vowed to reactivate its plutonium-based nuclear program -- and has since expelled UN inspectors.

But Bush said America is rallying its allies in the region to put pressure on Pyongyang. He cited a decision to cut off oil shipments -- and hinted at other methods that haven't been made public.
