Hurricane Dennis made its presence known with heavy winds and rain in Houston County.
Hundreds of people in the Wiregrass were literally "in the dark" Sunday.
All across the Circle City the same scenario, power lines down and roads blocked off. Crews will have their hands busy for several days to come.
Workers said they had to leave the scene shortly after they arrived, because of the high winds.
Workers say there were two areas in Dothan that received the most damage; one on North Oates Street and John D. Odom Road.
Crews say Dothan got off lucky because most of the damage went west.
Around 300 or 400 people were without electrical service. Crews say power was restored to people only a few hours after going out.
Crews are asking the public to be patient as they restore power to each area.
