Florida Governor Jeb Bush has called off an inquiry into Terri Schiavo's collapse 15 years ago after the state attorney found no evidence of criminal activity.
Bush had cited an alleged gap between when Schiavo's husband found her, and when he called 911. State Attorney Bernie McCabe found that Michael Schiavo's statements that he called for help immediately have been consistent.
Terri Schiavo, who spent 15 years in a persistent vegetative state, died March 31 from dehydration after her feeding tube was disconnected. Bush, her parents and some Florida national lawmakers had fought to keep her alive.
McCabe found an eating disorder most likely caused her collapse, and recommended the inquiry be closed.
