Guillain Barre Syndrome

Guillain Barre Syndrome is a serious illness that attacks the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord.

It strikes one or two people out of every 10,000 and is characterized by the rapid onset of weakness and paralysis in the legs, arms, breathing muscles and the face.

A Dothan man has been diagnosed with the syndrome. Mike Stumpf is the owner of the TCBY Yogurt Shop in Dothan.

As a small business owner, Mike has been active in the community for years. But the illness has left Mike temporarily paralyzed and unable to work. Mike's insurance doesn't cover all his expenses.
