Enterprise Murder Trial

It has been more than a year since an Enterprise business owner was gunned down.

Jelaine Dennis was fatally wounded during an apparent exchange of gunfire at her store in May 2000.

This week, a trial date was set for the first of the three defendants. All are charged with capital murder.

Twenty-year-old Robert Conrad is scheduled to go on trial in late September.
The Enterprise man is the suspect allegedly wounded in the gun battle. The other suspects are Bryan Yeoman and Brian Smith. Their trials are expected later this year.

All three remain at the Coffee County Jail without bond. If convicted as charged, they could face the death penalty.
