The murer-suicide happened at the Andalusia Manor Nursing Home shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.
The victims are identified as 87-year-old Jesse Taylor and his 72-year-old wife.
Police said Jesse Taylor, whose wife was living at the home, rolled hid wife outside in a wheelchair. He then apparently shot her in the chest with a small caliber handgun before turning the weapon on himself.
Both were treated by emergency personnel at the scene and were later pronounced dead at Andalusia Regional Hospital.
