The world is torn when it comes to America.
A survey conducted by the Pew Global Attitudes Project suggests that people love all things American, but they don't like the American influence on their own societies.
People in 35 of 42 countries surveyed have a generally favorable impression of the U.S. But in two-thirds of the countries where a trend could be identified, those numbers are declining.
Some anti-American sentiments were found even in friendly nations, like Canada and Britain. But the dislike is especially strong in Muslim countries, like Egypt and Pakistan.
Russians seem to like the U.S. a lot. Popularity soared from 37 percent two years ago to 61 percent today.
