The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of 29-year-old Valerie Tara Brown of Mary Esther as an apparent homicide.
Brown's body was discovered by her mother-in-law at a vacant townhouse in Fort Walton Beach around noon Thursday. Her mother-in-law is a caretaker for the townhouse.
Brown was a mid-day on-air personality at MIX-103 Radio in Destin.
She was last seen leaving her home near Mary Esther around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Reportedly, she was taking her brother-in-law William "Ed" Brown to his home.
The whereabouts of Ed Brown remain unknown. Ed Brown is 34 years old and around 5’7” and 150 pounds.
Investigators are looking for him and Valerie Brown's car. The vehicle is a silver 1997 Honda Civic with Florida tag F141-JUH.
