Shoppers get a break Saturday in Montgomery. The city will hold its second sales tax holiday, meaning residents will save three-and-a-half cents on every purchase made within the city limits.
The Montgomery City Council established the tax holiday to provide relief to families shopping for school supplies for the new school year.
In 2004, its estimated Montgomery shoppers saved between 150,000 to $200,000.
The tax break starts at midnight tonight and ends at midnight Saturday.
