Officials in Geneva County are moving closer to breaking ground on a new industrial park.

There was no opposition to the idea at a recent Geneva County commission meeting.

And, the commission is borrowing nearly $200,000 for the 90-acre site. It's located in Hartford, near the intersection of State Highways 52 and 167.

Geneva County Commission Chairman Harry Adkisson said there are two large companies that are seriously considering the site as a place for their businesses.
