Bus Accident Injures a Dozen of Marine Reservists from Ala., Fla.

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A bus carrying Marines Reservists from Alabama and Florida crashed at the Army's Fort Rucker, critically injuring four.

According to a statement from the Fort Rucker public affairs office, 12 Marines remain hospitalized, including four with life-threatening injuries.

The Army says the injured Marines were transported to hospitals in Dothan, Enterprise and Elba. Eleven other passengers were treated and released.

The Army says the bus crashed at about 9:20 a.m. Sunday near Alabama Highway 27.

The Marine Reservists are members of E Company, an anti-terrorism battalion, based at Marine Corps Reserve Centers in Bessemer, Alabama, and Tallahassee, Florida.
