A jury spent the last two days listening to "graphic" testimony in the trial of a man accused in the rape of a seven-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say the girl was victimized from late 2002 until April 2003.
The defendant, Douglas John Howell was 16 when he was arrested.
Howell’s lawyer says his client is a victim of the system.
He claims Howell was raped by his father, foster parents and workers at a state youth facility between the ages of 4 and 12.
If convicted, Howell could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The case is expected to go to the jury Thursday.
