A Northwest Florida postal official is warning folks about a rash of mail order scams crossing his desk.
Marianna Postmaster Marc Reed displays several of the scams.
One fake postal service mail order had cost a local couple more than $4,000.
Many of the bogus deals involve so-called foreign lotteries.
Reed says receiving any correspondence about a lottery win from another country is illegal in the United States.
If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
