Governor-Elect Bob Riley will have some housing options after he takes office next month.

The non-profit group Friends of the Alabama Governor's Mansion will make a pitch to have Riley live in a house next to the Governor's Mansion, using the mansion itself only for ceremonies.

The Georgian Revival House next to the mansion is known as the Farley-Hill House and was built in the early 1900s.

Riley said he and his wife Patsy have not considered where they will live after he takes office Jan. 20.

The governor is required to live in Montgomery, but not necessarily in the state's Executive Mansion.
