Amid the mourning in Camden, New Jersey, questions are being raised about the police search for three boys who were found dead in a car trunk.
Authorities have begun investigating why police failed to search the car trunk where the boys were found Friday. The father of one of the children says he can't understand how they died so close to home.
Officials say the boys suffocated after climbing into the trunk on their own. Authorities have said if any law enforcement officials broke department rules in the search, they would be disciplined. Police and prosecutors are expected to issue a report within 30 days on the handling of the search.
In addition to the formal review, the Camden city council president is promising a hearing on the matter later this week.
